IMPERIAL HERITAGE & CULTURAL LANDMARKS

After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square, followed by the magnificent Forbidden City, the former imperial palace of China's emperors. Continue to Jingshan Park for panoramic views of the city.

Later, visit a Silk Factory and a Pearl Factory to learn about two of China's traditional crafts. Proceed to the historic Temple of Heaven, an important imperial landmark. End the day with shopping at Hongqiao Pearl Market, known for its pearls, souvenirs, and local products.

THE GREAT WALL & SUMMER PALACE

Travel out to the Great Wall of China (Juyongguan Pass). Enjoy the scenic Badaling cable car ride to take in breathtaking views of the wall winding through mountains. On the way back, stop at a Jade Factory to learn about artisanal jade craftsmanship. Lunch will be served at Jin Dyan Cloysan Restaurant. Take a dedicated photo stop at the Olympic Stadium (Bird's Nest and Water Cube). End your daylight sightseeing at the classical Summer Palace and its beautiful imperial lakes.
